The All England Jumping Course at Hickstead is one of the premier equestrian venues in the world. The greatest show jumpers from around the globe have travelled to Mid Sussex each year since Hickstead opened its gates in 1960.
It is best known as the home of British showjumping, although competitions featuring carriage-driving, dressage and arena eventing also take place there.
Crowds of 40,000 attend its annual British Jumping Derby meeting, with many more watching on TV.
