Brighton Fringe is the largest arts festival in England, and one of the largest in the world.
Using more than 100 indoor and outdoor venues across Brighton and Hove, it showcases both amateur and professional talent in a wide range of fields including music, drama, art, photography and comedy.
International acts take part but roughly a third are local performers. Anyone can register to perform at the Fringe – there are no restrictions on ability, experience or topic – so if you want to get involved, you can. That means there is a huge variety in wacky, weird and wild shows to enjoy – which more than 350,000 people do each year.
