Roche logowiss multinational healthcare company Roche is one of the world’s largest biotech companies, and a leader in in-vitro diagnostics. Its UK base in Burgess Hill is the HQ for its diagnostics and diabetes care business.

Roche Diagnostics played a key role in the UK’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It normally takes an average of two years to analyse the genetic sequence of a virus, create a diagnostic test and get it approved for use in healthcare – but at the start of the pandemic Roche achieved the whole process in less than a month – developing and deploying the first commercially available PCR test for COVID-19.

In addition to a broad portfolio of diagnostic tests for COVID-19, Roche Diagnostics develops and delivers tests, the platforms they run on and digital solutions for other serious and life limiting conditions including cancer, heart disease, maternity and fertility issues and other infectious diseases.
